Description

You will build and maintain data pipelines and backend services using Java, Spark, and AWS.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java and open-source frameworks.
• Build ETL pipelines using Apache Spark and AWS Glue for data processing.
• Implement serverless workflows using Step Functions, Lambda, S3, SNS, and SQS.
• Optimize data ingestion and processing logic within the AWS ecosystem.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Backend Java Engineer.
• Prior employment at Capital One is required.
• Strong proficiency in Java programming and open-source frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and ETL processes.
• Deep familiarity with AWS Glue, Step Functions, Lambda, S3, SNS, and SQS.

Preferred Skills

• Experience optimizing large-scale data ingestion pipelines.
