Description

You will lead backend engineering efforts, focusing on scalable API design, platform reliability, and AI agent integration.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and build production-grade APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and GraphQL.
• Implement Apollo Federation for supergraph composition and schema governance.
• Deploy and operate workloads on Kubernetes, managing scaling, networking, and service discovery.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and ensure SRE compliance.
• Integrate Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and agent frameworks into backend services.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience designing and operating GraphQL APIs.
• Practical knowledge of Apollo Federation, including supergraph composition.
• Solid experience deploying and operating workloads on Kubernetes.
• Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with SRE principles, including SLIs, SLOs, and observability.
• Experience implementing secure API access patterns and GraphQL security.
• Comfortable using AI assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot.
