Description

You will build and maintain scalable backend services and core components for an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) to drive self-service capabilities.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build backend platform services and core IDP components to automate developer workflows and reduce engineering toil.
• Design and deploy cloud infrastructure using Terraform and AWS services following GitOps and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Integrate monitoring, tracing, and alerting tools into platform foundations to ensure reliability and observability.
• Own technical designs, conduct PR reviews, and drive operational excellence through incident response and postmortems.
• Collaborate with security and operations teams to prioritize capabilities that reduce developer cognitive load.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 6+ years of backend development using Java or Python.
• 6+ years of experience building cloud-native infrastructure with AWS.
• 3+ years of experience deploying and operating Kubernetes workloads in EKS or similar environments.
• Proficiency with Terraform and building CI/CD pipelines using GitLab Runner or Jenkins.
• Experience implementing IAM policies, role-based access, and security vulnerability remediation.
• Hands-on experience with observability tools including CloudWatch, Datadog, and Elastic Search.

Preferred Skills

• Deep understanding of distributed systems, networking, and systems reliability principles.
• Proven track record of technical ownership in complex engineering environments.
