Description

Build and modernize a legacy Perl-based platform into a scalable Python microservices architecture.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using OpenAPI 3.0 standards.
• Architect and deploy distributed microservices on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Ansible.
• Migrate legacy Perl components to Python-based solutions.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to ensure system reliability.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional Python development experience.
• Strong understanding of Linux environments and Red Hat Linux.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and OpenShift containerization.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, specifically Jenkins and Ansible.
• Familiarity with Oracle SQL and database interactions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience migrating legacy Perl codebases to Python.
• Knowledge of Splunk for monitoring and logging.
• Background in distributed systems design.
