Description

You will lead the design and development of backend services.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop applications focusing on simplicity, reliability, scalability, extensibility, performance, and reusability.
• Develop code, write automated unit/integration tests, manage sign-off, and handle deployment and monitoring.
• Design, implement, and launch visible features for the retail platform using Test/Behavior Driven Development.
• Monitor and support a serverless microservices architecture running on AWS.
• Deploy and manage applications using Docker and Terraform into AWS Lambda and Fargate.
• Setup alarms to track system health using Splunk, CloudWatch, or DataDog.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of strong hands-on development experience in Python.
• 8+ years of experience with DevOps support.
• Experience with AWS services, specifically Lambda, Serverless, and API Gateway.
• Proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation (Terraform preferred).
• CI/CD experience, with GitLab CI/CD preferred.
• Good understanding of HTTP protocol and Webservers.
• Monitoring and Alerting experience using Splunk, CloudWatch, or DataDog.
• Working knowledge of RESTful APIs using Python.
• Experience with Backend Services Engineering principles.
