Description

Design, build, and deploy backend microservices and REST APIs in a Tanzu/Kubernetes environment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot within a microservices architecture.
• Design and implement database interactions using SQL, ensuring correctness, performance, and maintainability.
• Build, package, and deploy services in a Tanzu/Kubernetes environment, supporting reliable releases.
• Collaborate on service-to-service integrations, observability, and troubleshooting in production.
• Contribute to testing and quality practices for backend services, including regression coverage and release readiness.

Required Skills

• 6-12 years of relevant backend engineering experience.
• Java (including common resume variants like java).
• Microservices experience (micro services / microservices).
• Spring Boot (spring boot / springboot).
• Tanzu.
• SQL.

Preferred Skills

• AWS (aws / amazon web services).
• MySQL (mysql).

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
