Description

You will design and implement scalable APIs and backend services for core claim workflows, owning the lifecycle from concept to production. This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement clear, scalable APIs and backend services powering core claim workflows.
• Partner with Product, Operations, Data Science, and Engineering teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality features.
• Write clean, well-tested code and contribute to engineering excellence through code reviews and shared best practices.
• Instrument and monitor services to ensure reliability, performance, and observability in production.
• Diagnose and solve complex technical challenges across the backend stack.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of backend software development experience.
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, or Python.
• Strong understanding of microservices and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing high-throughput APIs.
• Experience building data pipelines and distributed systems.
• End-to-end development experience from design to testing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for design discussions and code reviews.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
