You will design and build core backend platform services for digital banking and payments products.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend platform services in Kotlin covering ingestion, orchestration, RBAC, monitoring, and developer tooling.
• Implement and optimize workflow orchestration frameworks like Temporal, Cadence, Camunda, or Argo.
• Provide scalable APIs and abstractions that enable other teams to build workflows on the platform.
• Integrate GenAI/NLP pipelines for intent parsing, process matching, and intelligent decisioning.
• Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and guide technical decisions on platform architecture.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of backend engineering experience with deep Kotlin/JVM expertise.
• Proven history building platforms, frameworks, or orchestration services.
• Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration systems (Temporal, Cadence, Camunda, Argo).
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, API design, and event-driven architectures.
• Practical experience integrating GenAI/NLP into backend systems.
• Experience implementing RBAC/security models in multi-tenant or enterprise environments.
• Proficiency with CI/CD practices and observability tooling.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• Equivalent practical experience in lieu of formal degree.
