Description

You will design, execute, and maintain API and integration test strategies for backend services.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute API and integration test strategies to validate performance, scalability, and security requirements.
• Conduct API testing for RESTful and SOAP web services to ensure seamless data flow and specification adherence.
• Develop automated test cases using JUnit, Mockito, and Postman to validate APIs, microservices, and middleware.
• Verify asynchronous data processing and distributed system behaviors using message queues like RabbitMQ and Kafka.
• Implement and maintain CI pipelines by incorporating automated tests within Jenkins, TeamCity, or Harness.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in API and integration testing for backend services.
• Strong expertise in RESTful and SOAP API testing and integration.
• Proficiency with Postman for creating collections and utilizing environment variables.
• Experience with test automation frameworks such as JUnit or RESTAssured.
• Ability to write integration tests for messaging queues and event-driven processing.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases including Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, and Cassandra.
• Knowledge of Spring Boot microservices and integration testing.
• Experience with containerization tools including Docker and Kubernetes for environment setup.
• Proficiency with Git for version control.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with performance testing, load testing, and API vulnerability scanning.
• Ability to use Postman scripting for advanced validations and automated execution.
