Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
• Design and develop serverless Lambda functions to parse and transform healthcare message formats 
(HL7, 837, CCDA) 
• Configure cloud ingestion components including AWS Fargate containers, S3 Event triggers, and API 
Gateways 
• Build and maintain secure, event-driven pipelines using SQS, Dead Letter Queues, and EventBridge 
• Implement cloud-native decryption patterns using AWS KMS to handle sensitive healthcare data 
securely 
• Manage all infrastructure via YAML-based Infrastructure as Code; enforce PR and staging validation 
workflows 
• Participate in parallel validation processes to ensure data integrity during system transitions  

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 
• AWS Lambda, Fargate, S3, SQS, EventBridge 
• Experience with healthcare message formats: HL7, 837 (X12), CCDA 
• AWS KMS and IAM policy management 
• Python or Java for serverless development 
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform or AWS CloudFormation 
• Experience in SOX, HIPAA, or similarly regulated environments 

NICE TO HAVE 
• FHIR standards familiarity 
• AWS Transfer Family 
• AWS CDK 
• OpenSearch / Elasticsearch 
• Prior healthcare interoperability project experience
