Description

You will build and maintain the developer portal ecosystem by extending Backstage core features and developing custom plugins.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom Backstage plugins to expand platform functionality.
• Configure and deploy Backstage on cloud platforms using secure, scalable setups.
• Build and manage a Service Catalog to enable service discovery and management across the organization.
• Integrate Backstage with CI/CD pipelines, cloud systems, and Kubernetes clusters.
• Connect observability tools and documentation sources like Confluence and GitLab to Backstage search.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Proven expertise in Backstage plugin development and extending core features.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and React.js with component-based architecture knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with CI/CD tools including GitlabCI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and its integration with Backstage.
• Familiarity with RESTful and GraphQL API development and integration.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of DevOps workflows and their alignment with Backstage.
• Experience with microservices architecture and performance optimization.
