Description

Manage and maintain the Business Intelligence platform to ensure uptime, reliability, and performance. You will own the BI server infrastructure, including system configuration, upgrades, patch management, backups, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Administer user roles, permissions, and access control using RBAC and auditing practices.
• Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of BI dashboards and reports to ensure alignment with business requirements.
• Establish and maintain connections between BI tools and various data sources, including databases and data lakes.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and seamless data flow through refresh schedules.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and user access issues while documenting platform configurations and processes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in BI administration or related data roles.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark for data processing and analytics.
• Proficiency with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikSense.
• Strong SQL skills for querying and managing data sources.
• Experience connecting BI tools to MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.
• Knowledge of BI architecture, data modeling, report creation, and performance tuning.
• Understanding of data security, encryption, and compliance requirements like GDPR or HIPAA.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with big data ecosystems like Hadoop, Hive, or HBase.
• Knowledge of ETL tools such as Informatica, Alteryx, or Talend.
• Scripting skills in Python, Shell, or R for automation.
