Description

You will lead the end-to-end migration of reporting solutions from IBM Cognos to Microsoft Power BI, owning assessment, design, development, testing, and deployment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Define and enforce best practices for data modeling, DAX calculations, Power Query transformations, and visualization standards.
• Optimize Power BI solutions for performance, usability, and governance, including security and access controls.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, modern BI solutions while preserving data integrity.
• Provide technical leadership to BI developers, mentoring the team in Power BI and modern reporting practices.
• Develop complex Power BI reports and dashboards, remaining completely hands-on with DAX code.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, with hands-on expertise in both IBM Cognos and Microsoft Power BI.
• Proven experience leading BI migration projects from legacy tools to Power BI.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query, and data modeling techniques.
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
• Experience with data governance, security models, and enterprise-scale BI deployments.
• Capital markets experience, especially in Credit Risk and Trading.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Agile methodologies in BI development.
