Description

You will own the administration, deployment, and optimization of the Tableau BI platform and its underlying data infrastructure.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain multi-tier Tableau Server and Cloud environments, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Automate deployment of data sources and workbooks using PowerShell and scripting to streamline release pipelines.
• Manage server metadata, admin views, and user security, including Role Level Security and SSO with SAML/IdP.
• Monitor server activity and usage statistics to identify performance issues and implement enhancements.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, DBAs, and Security teams to support embedded analytics and Salesforce integration.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in IT, with at least 4 years focused on Tableau administration.
• Hands-on expertise with Tableau Server, Tableau Desktop, and Tableau Prep.
• Strong SQL skills for querying Redshift, Athena, MS SQL Server, and Snowflake.
• Experience with AWS cloud computing platforms and open-source technologies.
• Proficiency in PowerShell for automation and server management tasks.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, Load Balancers, and network firewalls.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• 2+ years of Tableau Cloud administration experience.
• Experience with QlikView Server and Publisher.
