Description

Design and implement big data analytic solutions on Hadoop-based platforms, focusing on unstructured and semi-structured data refinement.

Responsibilities

• Architect cloud-based big data solutions to integrate diverse data sources for analytics, reporting, and online application access.
• Lead technical design and development, including hands-on coding and implementation of design patterns.
• Own the full delivery lifecycle, from high-level design and technical code reviews to release management and production deployment.
• Mentor junior developers through design, development, deployment, and systems integration activities.
• Manage onsite and offshore teams of 10 or more to deliver software development services and act as the primary point of contact for customers.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of IT industry experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Big Data and Hadoop architecture.
• Experience building and maintaining Hadoop clusters in multi-tenant environments.
• Proficiency with HDFS, MR2, Hive, HBase, Sqoop, Oozie, BigSQL, Kafka, Spark, and SQL.
• In-depth experience with cloud computing infrastructure.
• Experience in data management, migration, governance, and handling data warehouses or big data workloads.
• Strong background in solution design, technical architecture, and component design.
• Proven ability to manage project schedules and technical oversight.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cloudera, Hortonworks, or MapR Hadoop distributions.
• Knowledge of Apache Lucene, Solr, or Elasticsearch.
• Linux or Windows PowerShell scripting experience.
