You will design and implement scalable data architectures to support multi-modality use cases and modernize existing RDBMS systems.
Responsibilities
Redesign and modernize data schemas to support scalability and multi-modal data types including text, images, and audio.
Develop detailed migration plans for transitioning data from RDBMS to cloud-native platforms like BigQuery or Snowflake while ensuring integrity and minimal downtime.
Optimize database performance through advanced indexing, partitioning, sharding, and query refactoring.
Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and AI/ML teams to align architecture with technical requirements and enforce data governance.
Lead the development of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and architectural blueprints.
Required Skills
5+ years of experience in data architecture and design.
Deep expertise in relational databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
Hands-on experience with cloud-based platforms such as Google BigQuery, Snowflake, or AWS Redshift.
Proficiency with Apache Flink, Kafka, and SQL.
Experience with NoSQL solutions including MongoDB and DynamoDB.
Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT pipelines and tools like Apache Airflow or DBT.
Proven ability in schema redesign, migration strategies, and data modeling.
Ability to implement performance monitoring and identify system bottlenecks.
Preferred Skills
Experience automating migration processes in coordination with DevOps teams.
Background in providing technical mentorship to junior engineers.
