Description

You will design, deploy, and manage scalable, fault-tolerant big data systems on AWS.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate highly available systems on AWS with controlled data flows.
• Select AWS services for specific compute, data, and security requirements.
• Migrate on-premises workloads to AWS and establish secure connectivity.
• Perform security hardening, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of AWS infrastructure.
• Estimate usage costs and implement operational cost control mechanisms.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of overall Big Data experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on AWS experience.
• Proficiency in Java or Python.
• Hands-on experience implementing and tuning Hadoop and Spark.
• Experience with SQL-on-Hadoop technologies such as Hive, Impala, Spark SQL, or Presto.
• Experience with data warehouse technologies like SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, or Greenplum.
• Deep understanding of Apache Hadoop and the Hadoop ecosystem.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
