Description

You will own core modules for a data platform processing batch and streaming data.

Responsibilities

• Build core modules for landing batch and streaming data.
• Develop metadata-driven data access and analytics layers for business users.
• Construct RESTful services and support the platform in production.
• Investigate data and platform issues to ensure stability.
• Create unit and functional test automation.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience building applications in Java.
• Strong proficiency in Object Oriented Development and the Java platform.
• Hands-on experience with Spark, Storm, Hadoop, and Kafka.
• Solid understanding of CS fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Design Principles, architecture, and design patterns.
• Experience with Unix/Linux and shell scripting.
• Strong communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with multi-threaded design, concurrency, and caches.
• Knowledge of Agile Scrum, Test Driven Development, and Jenkins CI.
• Experience with public cloud, containers, and open source projects.
