Description

You will build and maintain Big Data applications across cloud infrastructure.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Implement and test Big Data applications using API and Batch processing patterns.
• Tune batch application performance across Spark, Hadoop, EMR, Java, and Python environments.
• Develop microservices using AWS APIs and integrate with services like API Gateway.
• Manage workflows using orchestration tools such as Airflow and Step Functions.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in Big Data application development and testing.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Scala, Kotlin, and Python for coding.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including EMR, EC2, ECS, S3, and API Gateway.
• Expertise in Big Data frameworks such as Spark, Hadoop, and MapReduce.
• Familiarity with distributed storage systems like HDFS and Cassandra.
• Proficiency in Linux environments, including Shell scripting and Python.
• Experience developing REST API and SOAP webservices using Java or Scala.

Preferred Skills

• DevOps experience using Git, GitHub, Bit Bucket, or GitLab.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, or AWS CodeCommit.
