Description

You will build and optimize data pipelines and backend systems to extract value from large, disconnected structured and unstructured datasets.

Responsibilities

  • Source, analyze, and organize raw data for transformation and consumption.
  • Build applications using modern design patterns, architectural principles, and industry-standard coding practices.
  • Develop high-quality, well-documented, and efficient code that supports testing and automation.
  • Identify improvements for data governance, reliability, efficiency, and quality.
  • Collaborate with product owners and tech leads to define future stories and technical designs.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role.
  • Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases.
  • Experience with big data tools and NoSQL databases.
  • Proficiency in building and optimizing data pipelines and workflow management tools.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services.
  • Working knowledge of stream processing systems and message queuing.
  • Proficiency in an object-oriented or scripting language.
  • Experience working within agile cross-functional teams.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or a quantitative field.

Preferred Skills

  • Background in financial services functions.
