Description

You will design and develop Scala-based data pipelines and REST APIs, ensuring robust code quality and deep integration with Hadoop ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines using Scala and Spark.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs for Big Data and reporting system integration.
• Implement data structures, data modeling, and software architecture best practices.
• Manage Hadoop-centric schedulers and ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate on API integrations for reporting systems.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Big Data and Data Engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Scala, including deep knowledge of the Scala API.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark.
• Experience with Java and Python (Python is a plus).
• Working knowledge of Hadoop and Big Data technologies.
• Solid understanding of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture.
• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.

Preferred Skills

• Experience integrating Big Data systems with reporting platforms via APIs.
