Description

You will build tools and systems to deploy and scale applications and data across hybrid cloud and physical environments within the Unified Data Acquisition and Processing (UDAP) platform.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain operational tools to ensure service availability across hosted and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Develop data pipelines and processes for moving data from sources to warehouses.
• Solve for scalability, performance, and stability within the data platform.
• Troubleshoot complex system and application stacks.
• Partner with data engineering, product, and architecture teams to provide operational guidance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, or Python.
• Hands-on experience with the Big Data stack, specifically Spark and the Hadoop ecosystem.
• Strong experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Expert knowledge of Linux operating systems and scripting.
• Experience with Data Warehouse related projects.
• Ability to work autonomously and perform independent research.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Operational experience with the Elastic Search (ELK) stack.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience troubleshooting network and server communication.
