Description

Lead the development and support of scalable Big Data applications and web applications. You will build data processing logic, execute queries, and troubleshoot cluster operations.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain modern, scalable Big Data applications.
• Develop data processing logic using Spark, Scala, and PySpark.
• Execute Big Data querying using Pig, Hive, and Impala.
• Integrate data from multiple sources into stream-processing systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cluster operations.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of Information Technology experience.
• 3+ years building and supporting scalable Big Data applications.
• Proficiency in Spark, Spark engine, Scala, and PySpark.
• Experience with Hadoop and Big Data technologies.
• Hands-on experience querying with Pig, Hive, and Impala.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent, or equivalent progressive experience.
• Ability to work within commuting distance of Austin, TX.

Preferred Skills

• Experience building stream-processing systems using Storm or Spark-Streaming.
• Deep understanding of distributed computing principles and Hadoop cluster management.
