Description

Design and implement Big Data solutions using the Hadoop ecosystem and real-time streaming architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data landing, transformation, and storage solutions within the Hadoop ecosystem for analytics.
• Build and manage real-time streaming architectures to process and move data.
• Lead architecture and design discussions to devise optimal solutions for business requirements.
• Troubleshoot production software operations and participate in all Agile ceremonies.
• Apply CI/CD and Test Driven Development to deliver high-quality software.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with MapReduce, Oozie, Hive, HBase, HDFS, Spark, Storm, Kafka, and NiFi.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Linux.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems like Jenkins.
• Experience with GitHub and Accurev SCM systems.
• Practical knowledge of batch and streaming architectures.
• Experience working within Agile frameworks.
• Strong understanding of analytics customer use cases.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry).
• Ability to guide and coach other software engineers on technical best practices.
