Description

Administer and support large-scale Cloudera clusters across production, non-production, and BCP/DR environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage Cloudera services including HDFS, Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Impala, YARN, Solr, Kafka, Oozie, and Spark via Cloudera Manager and CLI.
• Execute HDFS and Kafka replication using Cloudera BDR and SRM.
• Deploy new software environments and perform upgrades to expand existing Hadoop ecosystems.
• Support integration for BI tools, data ingestion, ETL/ELT tools, and ODBC/JDBC connectivity.
• Monitor cluster connectivity, security, and stability while developing platform best practices.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience supporting complex, large-scale production environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Linux and Linux/UNIX administration.
• Expertise administering Cloudera CDP (Cloudera Data Platform).
• Proven experience configuring Kerberos and Certificate Keystores.
• Proficiency in shell scripting and bash.
• Deep understanding of Active Directory and LDAP.
• Hands-on experience with SQL (Oracle) and NoSQL (HBase).
• Experience with system backup, disaster recovery, and virtualization systems.
• Background working in Agile development environments.

Preferred Skills

• Cloudera Certified Administrator (CCA) or Cloudera Certified Professional (CCP).
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or equivalent.
