Description

You will design, develop, and optimize BigCommerce stores to ensure a responsive user experience.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Implement custom themes and modify existing templates to meet functional requirements.
• Develop and integrate custom apps and third-party applications to extend store functionality.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate visual concepts into functional online experiences.
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to maintain code quality.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and technical feasibility.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in web development.
• 3+ years of focused BigCommerce platform development.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Strong experience with BigCommerce APIs and the Stencil framework.
• Expertise in developing custom BigCommerce themes.
• Experience with server-side scripting languages.
• Knowledge of responsive and adaptive design principles.
• Experience managing cross-browser compatibility issues.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce.
• Knowledge of SEO principles.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
