Description

You will design, build, and maintain distributed data systems and ETL pipelines for large-scale processing.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build and support data warehousing solutions and ETL workflows using PySpark and Python.
• Design and manage NoSQL databases including BigTable, HBase, and BigQuery on GCP.
• Optimize SQL query performance and tune distributed system algorithms for scalability.
• Implement data modeling using tools like ErStudio or ErWin and manage schema development.
• Ensure high availability, replication, and security for online transaction and analytical processing systems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Big Data engineering and data warehousing.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark for data manipulation and processing.
• Hands-on experience with GCP tools, BigQuery, and NoSQL databases (HBase, BigTable).
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, storage formats, and access algorithms.
• Experience with ETL design, data modeling, and infrastructure integration (e.g., Nutanix).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and software delivery lifecycles.
• Knowledge of data encryption, replication, and administration processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Hive and general Big Data ecosystems.
