Description

You will manage and optimize BigQuery and Power BI environments to ensure data security, performance, and availability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage BigQuery resources, including projects, datasets, and tables, while implementing access controls and data governance policies.
• Optimize BigQuery performance and costs by monitoring workloads, managing compute capacity, and resolving query bottlenecks.
• Administer Power BI services, covering user roles, permissions, data refresh schedules, and gateway configurations.
• Provision Power BI resources and monitor usage to generate reports on key performance indicators.
• Collaborate with business analysts and data scientists to implement data loading solutions and troubleshoot technical issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data platform administration.
• Proficiency in Google BigQuery and advanced SQL.
• Strong experience in Power BI administration and Power BI Service management.
• Deep understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Experience managing data security, user permissions, and data gateways.
• Ability to monitor query performance and manage compute capacity for cost control.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as Cloud Storage and Dataflow.
• Knowledge of BigQuery ML.
• Familiarity with data tools like Collibra or Theoald.
