Description

You will manage and optimize the BigQuery data warehouse infrastructure, ensuring high performance and security in a production environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer BigQuery in production, managing enterprise-scale data pipelines and EDW platform migrations.
• Optimize SQL performance and tune complex queries to meet latency and cost targets.
• Implement IAM policies, security controls, and disaster recovery strategies within GCP.
• Develop automation scripts using Python or Bash for routine data operations.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience as a Data Warehouse Engineer or DBA.
• 3+ years of hands-on BigQuery administration experience.
• Expertise in SQL performance tuning and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services: BigQuery, Composer/Airflow, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and Monitoring/Logging.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, networking basics, and disaster recovery strategies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with EDW platform migrations.
• Experience with Pub/Sub integration.
