Roles & Responsibilities

●  Support BigQuery Omni, an external-facing BigQuery Multi Cloud product, by handling OnCall issues and improving internal processes, including deployments and testing.

●  Reduce oncall toil, which includes:

○  Daily inspection of Omni bugs, AWS/Azure pushers, and component releases during working hours.

○  Solving common issues (e.g., retries from transient deployment failures, unlock annealing).

○  Documenting initial investigations in bugs and routing them to the appropriate team (Infra team owner, other BQ team, or Infra oncall).

●  Owning ongoing interactions with routed teams.

●  Perform periodic tasks and audits.

●  Drive documentation improvements, including creating and refactoring documentation as part of the learning process.
