Description

Lead the technical transition from Cassandra to a Bigtable-based architecture and own the end-to-end migration of data workloads and Go middleware.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the current Cassandra estate and existing Go middleware to design the future-state architecture.
• Migrate and optimize data workloads from Cassandra to Google Cloud Bigtable.
• Develop and maintain custom middleware using the Go programming language.
• Integrate systems with AWS to satisfy international data residency requirements.
• Engage directly in client meetings to communicate technical solutions and strategy.
• Required Skills
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
  • Deep domain expertise in the Go programming language.
  • Advanced proficiency with Google Cloud Bigtable.
  • Experience with AWS integration and cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience working with Cassandra environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for complex data migrations.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical concepts in client-facing environments.

  Preferred Skills

  • Experience managing data residency and compliance requirements across different jurisdictions.
