Description

You will lead engineering teams in the design, development, and optimization of embedded software and firmware for hardware products.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple project teams of firmware engineers and outsourced development partners through all stages of design and development for complex platforms.
• Allocate resources to programming projects and design detailed plans to ensure firmware functionality.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration and communication between hardware and firmware components.
• Review and evaluate designs for compliance with systems development guidelines to mitigate failure risk and improve quality.
• Mentor less-experienced firmware engineers to guide them toward successful deliverables.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software/firmware design and development.
• Proficiency in programming languages including C, C++, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Experience with software/firmware testing methodologies, including writing test plans, debugging, and developing test scripts.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and Agile development methodologies.
• Strong understanding of software/firmware architecture and its interaction with hardware and OS designs.
• Ability to manage relationships with internal and outsourced development partners.
• Proven ability to communicate program plans and negotiate technical options with senior management.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's, Master's, or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
