Description

You will serve as the production readiness steward for the platform, aligning product priorities with operational needs through automation and reliability engineering.

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and administer Linux-based systems across on-premise, hybrid, and cloud environments.
• Administer BMC Discovery software to manage Configuration Management Inventory collection across diverse IT infrastructures.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and credential issues involving SSH, WMI, PowerShell, SNMP, and cloud provider APIs (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Partner with developers to design, build, and implement technology services focusing on availability, capacity, performance, and deployment automation.
• Lead change management for upgrades, releases, and migrations while providing technical leadership to a distributed team.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in systems administration or business operations.
• Strong expertise in Linux and/or Unix system administration.
• Experience administering BMC Discovery application.
• Proficiency troubleshooting SSH, WMI, PowerShell, and SNMP.
• Experience connecting to cloud providers via API, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Ability to manage infrastructure across on-premise, hybrid, and cloud topologies.
• Demonstrated experience working across global development, operations, and product teams.
• Strong systematic problem-solving skills and ability to make urgent decisions in difficult situations.
• Experience with deployment automation and system monitoring.
