Lead architecture for blockchain initiatives, including tokenized deposits, digital assets, and distributed settlement systems within a regulated banking environment.

Responsibilities

• Design hybrid architectures integrating distributed ledger platforms with core banking, payment systems, and event-driven microservices.
• Define on-chain versus off-chain boundaries for smart contracts, orchestration services, API layers, and operational controls.
• Establish architectural guardrails for digital assets, ensuring bank-grade security, resiliency, regulatory compliance, and long-term interoperability.
• Evaluate permissioned distributed ledger technologies, identity models, privacy architectures, and governance structures for regulated use cases.
• Guide engineering teams on blockchain value propositions, distinguishing where distributed ledgers add value versus traditional platforms.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in architectural patterns, cloud engineering, and non-functional requirements (performance, resiliency, security).
• Deep understanding of smart contracts as deterministic business rule enforcement, distinct from workflow orchestration.
• Experience in payments, liquidity, settlements, or financial market infrastructures within large-scale enterprises.
• Proficiency with Microservices architecture and integration patterns.
• Ability to avoid vendor lock-in and ensure maintainability in complex financial systems.
