Description

You will own body components end-to-end to ensure they meet all vehicle functional objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage component design to adhere to corporate requirements, guidelines, and functional objectives.
  • Create DFMEAs, DVPRs, and performance standards for assigned components.
  • Conduct validation tests and support plant launches to ensure components are applied per design intent.
  • Collaborate with local engineering, manufacturing, Architecture/Vehicle Concepts, and PDO teams during North American work hours.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience using Unigraphics NX in a production release environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced design experience in Body-Body in White, Closures, or Exterior Systems.
  • Proficiency in Team Center.
  • Practical knowledge of high strength steels, weld parameters, and GD&T.
  • Experience with DFMEA and DVP&R.
  • Proficiency in MS-Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.

Preferred Skills

  • BIW in-plant launch experience.
  • Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Green or Black Belt.
