Description

You own the hardware testing and validation for body systems and components.

Responsibilities

• Drive hardware testing and validation for body systems (instrument panel, door trims, DMS, etc.).
• Coordinate all test phases from planning and execution through data processing and reporting.
• Design and fabricate custom test fixtures for bench test setups.
• Document test findings and communicate root causes to design, quality, and manufacturing teams.
• Manage test schedules with external test houses and T1 suppliers to ensure delivery.
• Create and maintain validation documentation, including DVPRs, test protocols, and test reports.
• Drive DVPs sign-off for PPAP/LQP to enable product readiness.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of automotive interior or exterior validation and testing experience at OEM, Tier-1 supplier, or Test Lab.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Experience using CAD software such as CATIA, 3DX, or SolidWorks.
• Experience with standard lab test equipment (environmental chambers, shaker tables, DAQs, force/torque transducers, LVDTs, etc.).
• Knowledge of validation milestones within the Product Development Process.
• Experience with FMVSS and other international regulatory requirements for interior components.
• Experience with Atlasian Jira and Confluence.
• Familiarity with automotive manufacturing processes (e.g., plastic injection molding, painting, IMD/IML).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
