Description

You own hardware testing and validation for body systems and components.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Drive hardware testing and validation for body systems including instrument panels, door trims, and DMS.
• Coordinate test phases from planning and execution through data processing and reporting.
• Design and fabricate custom test fixtures for bench test setups.
• Document findings, communicate root causes to design and quality teams, and manage external test house schedules.
• Create validation documentation (DVPRs, protocols, reports) and drive DVP sign-off for PPAP/LQP.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of automotive interior or exterior validation and testing experience at OEM, Tier-1, or Test Lab.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Experience with CAD software (CATIA, 3DX, or SolidWorks).
• Proficiency with lab test equipment: environmental chambers, shaker tables, DAQs, force/torque transducers, LVDTs.
• Knowledge of validation milestones within the Product Development Process.
• Experience with FMVSS and international regulatory requirements for interior components.
• Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
• Familiarity with automotive manufacturing processes (plastic injection molding, painting, IMD/IML).
