Description

You will own the end-to-end testing lifecycle for STB, cable modem, and gateway products.

Responsibilities

• Create test plans and strategies for new releases across multiple platforms.
• Execute smoke, sanity, regression, and automated overnight reliability and soak testing.
• Perform root cause analysis for defects and simulate required test environments in the lab.
• Provide on-call support for CPE activation, provisioning, and operations platform issues.
• Estimate work effort for new features and bug fixes to support release management.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience with telecommunications products and broadband technologies.
• Expertise in DOCSIS (3.0, 3.1, 4.0) and fiber specifications, protocols, and debugging.
• Proficiency in Python, including network modules (HTTP, socket, ping, SNMP), database integration, and RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux environments and networking protocols.
• Deep knowledge of Wi-Fi 6/6E, wireless encryption (WPA2/WPA3), WPS, DFS, and WMM.
• Strong understanding of LAN/WAN topology, TCP/IP, FTP, NFS, switches, and firewalls.
• Experience with RF and IP technologies, HFC design, and spectrum analyzers.
• Ability to use troubleshooting tools such as tcpdump, netstat, traceroute, and snoop.
• Experience activating and maintaining CPE per DOCSIS, PacketCable, and SNMP specifications.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Python web frameworks and automated script maintenance.
