Description

Analyze claims, policy, and customer data to drive underwriting, risk, and compliance decisions. You will own the end-to-end data lifecycle from wrangling and governance to visualization and stakeholder collaboration.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze structured and semi-structured data to identify fraud indicators, loss ratios, and customer churn risks.
• Clean and transform raw data from policy, CRM, and claims systems into analytics-ready formats using lakehouse tools.
• Build dashboards and visualizations for underwriting, claims, and finance teams using Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
• Prepare regulatory reports for bodies such as OSFI and FSRA, ensuring data lineage, traceability, and accuracy.
• Collaborate with actuaries, underwriters, and data scientists to translate business questions into data models and feature engineering.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst leading data systems analysis for enterprise-grade projects.
• Deep expertise in ETL processes using Informatica Powercenter and the Informatica product suite.
• Proficiency with data technologies including Snowflake, Hadoop, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with lakehouse frameworks such as Delta Lake or Apache Iceberg.
• Strong visualization skills with Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
• Knowledge of data governance tools like Unity Catalog or Collibra for metadata and cataloging.
• University degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
