Gather, analyze, and document business requirements that are clear, concise, testable, and aligned with business objectives.
Facilitate requirement gathering sessions, workshops, and stakeholder meetings to identify business needs and impacted processes.
Develop and maintain project backlogs and collaborate with Product Owners to prioritize work in Agile environments.
Create and maintain Epics, Features, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and related project documentation.
Document current-state (As-Is) and future-state (To-Be) business process flows.
Analyze business processes, systems, and data to identify improvement opportunities and support solution design.
Monitor project scope and ensure requirements remain aligned with project objectives.
Support information governance initiatives and ensure appropriate stakeholder engagement regarding data requirements.
Assist in Build vs. Buy evaluations through research, analysis, and documentation.
Collaborate with UI/UX designers, Solution Architects, Developers, QA Testers, Database Administrators, and Technical Writers throughout the project lifecycle.
Support issue resolution and provide business analysis expertise for critical IT initiatives.
Ensure project deliverables are completed in accordance with organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
Translate business requirements into actionable tasks, deliverables, and expectations for project teams.
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
5+ years of experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
5+ years of experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
5+ years of experience creating Epics, Features, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria.
5+ years of experience documenting As-Is and To-Be business process flows.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience working with cross-functional teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Previous State of Michigan or government project experience.
Experience with SEM (Systems Engineering Methodology) deliverables.
Experience performing Build vs. Buy analysis.
Knowledge of information governance and data management practices.
Experience collaborating with UI/UX teams and enterprise architecture groups
