Description

You own the end-to-end requirements lifecycle for medium to large-scale projects across multiple functional areas.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Solicit business requirements through interviews, site visits, workshops, and documentation reviews.
• Decompose high-level business functions into detailed, unambiguous requirements for Solution Architects and QA teams.
• Document detailed use cases covering all alternate and exception flows.
• Create UI mock-ups and lead discussions to review design options.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to review test plans, scenarios, and test cases.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in capturing, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
• Proficiency in UML and business process modeling, including logical modeling.
• Experience using modeling software such as Sparx Enterprise Architect or Rational Rose.
• Proven ability to facilitate workshops and conduct stakeholder interviews independently.
• Skill in creating screen mock-ups.
• Ability to provide accurate time estimates for requirement activities.
• Strong negotiation skills to build consensus among internal business partners and executives.
• 4-year college degree in mathematics, engineering, computer science, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Business Analyst Certification (CBAP) or Scrum Master Certification (CSM).
• Knowledge of process engineering and software development management.
• Familiarity with railroad business operations.
