Requirements Engineering & Design: Partner with business and technical teams to evaluate workflows and author functional specifications, use cases, process flow diagrams, and user acceptance criteria.
P&C Insurance Workflow Analysis: Analyze personal auto, commercial auto, and homeowners insurance policy administration, underwriting rules, rating logic, and claims processing workflows.
SDLC Compliance & Documentation: Prepare and maintain system design artifacts, impact assessments, project estimates, status reports, and audit-ready project documentation.
Testing & Quality Assurance Support: Partner with QA engineers to develop comprehensive test plans, execute functional systems testing, and validate test cases.
UAT Leadership & Defect Triaging: Drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions with business SMEs; analyze, triage, and track software defects, determining when change control procedures are required.
Production Support & Incident Management: Assist in root-cause analysis and functional resolution for production incidents, system enhancements, and regulatory compliance updates.
Stakeholder Facilitation: Lead project alignment meetings, document key technical decisions, assign action items, and maintain structured project repositories.
P&C Domain Baseline: Minimum 2+ years of dedicated Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance experience with specific domain depth in Personal Auto, Homeowners, or Commercial Auto.
SDLC Track Record: Demonstrated experience supporting complex software application initiatives through the full system development life cycle.
Functional Documentation Mastery: Proven ability to author functional requirements documents (FRDs), technical use cases, process maps, and user acceptance criteria.
UAT & QA Collaboration: Hands-on experience driving User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles, defect lifecycle management, and issue resolution.
Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative technical discipline.
Boston Hybrid Commitment: Must reside in/near Boston, MA and commit to working 4 days per week onsite at the client facility.
Prior experience with core P&C policy administration systems (e.g., Guidewire PolicyCenter/ClaimCenter, Duck Creek, or custom legacy insurance engines).
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum user story authoring and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
Strong understanding of insurance rating, endorsement, billing
