Description

You will own the development and enhancement of accounting systems, partnering with Finance and Technology teams to support financial operations.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement accounting system features, including chart of accounts, rules-based accounting, and AP/AR automation.
• Lead end-to-end system implementation lifecycles, covering requirements gathering, testing, training, and deployment.
• Analyze existing financial workflows to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements ensuring auditability and compliance.
• Collaborate with IT to validate system integrations and build financial dashboards for executive leadership.
• Troubleshoot accounting data discrepancies and maintain comprehensive system documentation and knowledge bases.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Financial Systems Analyst, or Accounting Analyst.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, accounting processes, and financial reporting standards.
• Hands-on experience with major ERP/accounting systems: SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, or Sage Intacct.
• Proficiency in requirements gathering, process mapping, and writing detailed functional specifications.
• Advanced data analysis skills with Excel and Power BI.
• Experience with SQL for data validation and reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience implementing or upgrading accounting systems.
• Familiarity with APIs, middleware, or RPA for financial system integrations.
• Professional certification (CPA, CA, CMA, PMI-PBA, CBAP).
