You will bridge the gap between laboratory scientists and IT delivery teams, translating complex research workflows into actionable technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead structured requirements elicitation through interviews, workshops, and process walkthroughs with lab scientists and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain business requirements documents (BRDs), process flows, use cases, and functional requirements with clear acceptance criteria.
• Liaise between business users and IT delivery teams (data engineering, platform, solution architecture) to ensure technical solutions align with scientific objectives.
• Validate proposed solutions with end users to confirm alignment with real-world lab usage and research goals.
• Support change management and user adoption by defining training needs and facilitating project governance forums.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst on complex, data-driven technology projects.
• Demonstrated experience working with laboratory scientists, research teams, or lab informatics systems.
• Proven background in biopharma, life sciences, or scientific R&D environments.
• Strong ability to translate scientific or operational needs into structured requirements without prescribing specific technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills; comfortable presenting to business, scientific, and IT audiences.
• Experience producing formal requirements documentation.
• Knowledge of Gene Data Capture systems.
