Description

Mid-Level Business Analyst leading requirements gathering, process improvement, and stakeholder management in a hybrid Houston, TX role following EST hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation including BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and SOPs.
• Perform gap analysis and root cause identification to propose process optimization strategies.
• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications for development teams.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate issue resolution.
• Maintain critical documentation such as issue logs, change logs, and project plans.

Required Skills

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Business Analyst in consulting or professional services.
• Strong expertise in business and systems analysis, requirement writing, and documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Familiarity with MySQL for data analysis.
• Experience with UAT execution and coordination.
• Ability to conduct gap analysis and root cause identification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in legal, compliance, or regulated industries.
• Proficiency with Visio or similar tools for creating workflow diagrams and process maps.
• Familiarity with Business Continuity Planning (BCP) or Crisis Management.
