Required Skills & Experience

Technical

  • Advanced Excel (data manipulation, reconciliation, reporting)
  • Experience with:
    • ERP / manufacturing data systems
    • Labor systems (e.g., Kronos or equivalent)
  • Strong data consolidation and reporting skills

Functional

  • Manufacturing or operations finance experience strongly preferred
  • Understanding of:
    • Production metrics (yield, scrap, downtime)
    • Inventory and variance analysis
    • Budget vs. actuals

Core Responsibilities

1) Weekly Reporting & Data Management (Critical Priority)

  • Prepare and publish weekly operations reports
  • Extract and consolidate data from:
    • AM Operating Reports (production, scrap, downtime)
    • Work Order Usage Variance reports
    • Kronos (labor hours)
    • Finished Goods & batter production reports
  • Analyze and report:
    • Production output by line
    • Waste and variance trends
    • Downtime drivers
    • Labor utilization
  • Maintain and enhance reporting tools (shift & weekly reports)

 

2) Month-End Close & Financial Accuracy (High Priority)

  • Perform budget vs. actual corrections
  • Review and correct:
    • Inventory adjustments
    • Production variances
  • Support:
    • Monthly waste reconciliation
    • ETO file preparation
    • Monthly slide deck preparation (financial summaries)

 

3) Operational Variance & Cost Analysis

  • Lead/support recurring analysis:
    • Plant variance meetings (weekly)
    • Overhead and labor cost reviews
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis on:
    • Labor efficiency
    • Overhead spend
    • Production inefficiencies
  • Identify cost savings opportunities and flag risks

 

4) Business Partnering & Meetings

  • Participate in frequent cross-functional meetings:
    • Daily/weekly plant leadership meetings
    • Budget vs. actual reviews (multiple departments)
    • Weekly reviews with leadership (e.g., plant directors, finance)
  • Provide clear financial insights to non-finance stakeholders

 

5) Reporting & Process Ownership

  • Own and maintain:
    • Weekly reporting process (end-to-end)
    • Waste reporting
    • Overhead budget templates and reconciliation
  • Drive small improvements to reporting efficiency and accuracy

  • Experience supporting multiple manufacturing sites
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Able to step in quickly with minimal ramp-up
