Description

Support the Medicaid Enterprise Solution project by facilitating MMIS vendor implementations and driving business process improvements.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing business processes to identify opportunities for new technology applications that solve operational problems.
• Document detailed user needs, program functions, and implementation steps required for software development or modification.
• Develop and maintain functional and technical specifications to guide development teams.
• Create, execute, and document results for test scenarios and test cases to ensure solution quality.
• Prepare solution options, perform risk identification, and conduct financial analyses including ROI and cost/benefit studies.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in business process re-engineering and mapping.
• 3+ years of experience with industry standards, including legacy, core, and emerging technologies.
• 3+ years of experience creating and executing test cases and scenarios.
• 4+ years of experience writing detailed user needs and program functions.
• 4+ years of experience preparing functional and technical specifications.
• 4+ years of experience applying field-specific concepts, practices, and procedures.
• 1+ years of experience in financial analysis, including buy/build and ROI assessments.
• 1+ years of experience with relational database and client-server concepts.
• Prior experience with MMIS projects, specifically in operations or implementations.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Virginia Medicaid business rules and practices.
• Experience supporting MMIS vendors in Claims Processing, Provider Operation Management, or Member Management.
