You will lead requirements definition for complex, multi-year strategic initiatives in the US Life and Retirement insurance markets.
Responsibilities
Conduct independent and extensive requirement analysis for life insurance products, linking existing design documentation to derive comprehensive business understanding.
Translate business needs into clearly defined requirements, creating documentation inclusive of business use cases, process flows, and data flows.
Plan and facilitate requirements gathering sessions, meetings, and presentations with client and onsite/offshore teams to gain consensus and final business approval.
Collaborate with development and testing teams to provide subject matter expertise, leverage out-of-the-box functionality, and assist in troubleshooting issues.
Participate in User Acceptance Testing planning, including test plans and scripts, and facilitate UAT execution to obtain sign-off.
Required Skills
9+ years of business analysis experience, with 3+ years in recent projects focused on Property & Casualty or Life Insurance.
Deep understanding of Insurance Plan Process Flows, Administration Recordkeeping Software, and Legal Plan Documents.
Proficiency in all phases of requirements management: gathering, analyzing, detailing, and tracking.
Knowledge of functional areas including underwriting, policy administration, Eligibility, Auto Enroll, Contributions, Loans, and Withdrawals.
Experience with large/mid-scale projects in the US Life Insurance/Retirements market.
Strong working knowledge of SDLC models and Agile SCRUM methodology.
Preferred Skills
Certification from a recognized insurance institute (ALMI / FLMI).
Industry-acknowledged Business Analysis certification.
