Description

You will serve as the primary liaison between the Virginia Office of Data Governance and Analytics and the Office of Workforce Development, aligning business strategy with operational processes. You will own the analysis of end-to-end business workflows to identify and mitigate operational, financial, and technological risks, ensuring documentation of capabilities needed to resolve complex challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead small to mid-size projects or support project managers on large-scale operational functions.
• Review business processes to identify risks and document necessary improvements for operational efficiency.
• Align business strategy and processes between the ODGA and the Office of Workforce Development.
• Build and maintain stakeholder relationships across all organizational levels.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in data governance and security practices.
• 7+ years of experience with data protection and governance programs, including policy, organizational design, and communications.
• 7+ years of experience with cloud data security and public cloud solutions such as AWS, Azure, or Google.
• 7+ years of experience with data protection technologies including data discovery, data labeling, data inventory, CASB, Microsoft Purview, and information rights.
• 7+ years of experience working with technologies, programming/scripting languages, and big-data tools.
• Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Skills

• 3+ years of experience in consulting.
• Experience defining and assessing Data Protection strategy, architecture, and technology implementation.
