Description

Drive technical requirements and story lifecycle for legacy-to-cloud modernization initiatives.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Decompose legacy features into domain-aligned, cloud-appropriate service boundaries.
• Write user stories and API specifications, including request/response structures and service contracts.
• Define functional and non-functional requirements that align with architectural goals.
• Reverse-engineer legacy functionality using logs, SQL queries, or user workflows.
• Lead complex epics through the SDLC and mentor team members on story refinement and acceptance criteria.

Required Skills

• 5+ years in systems analysis, technical product ownership, or solution architecture.
• Hands-on experience with monolith-to-microservices transitions.
• Proficiency with REST APIs, message queues, and cloud-native patterns.
• Experience with Swagger, OpenAPI, Postman, Azure DevOps, or Jira.
• Ability to create flow diagrams, data mappings, and system behavior specifications.
• Strong understanding of the SDLC process.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with .NET, Azure, and distributed systems at scale.
• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and bounded contexts.
• Background in healthcare, payroll, or other compliance-heavy industries.
